Saylor Ann Burgess is originally from Leawood Kansas. She trained as a competitive dancer in the Kansas City circuit for many years before attending college at Kansas State University with a dance scholarship and received her degree in Theatre and Dance. Throughout college Saylor attended and performed in many American College Dance Festivals as well as dance concerts. Saylor is an alum of Ann Reinking’s Broadway Theatre Project in Tampa FL, and served as assistant to the Director in 2010. After graduating, Saylor moved to New York City where she began studying dance at STEPS on Broadway as a work study intern. Recently, Saylor was honored to be Kansas State University’s Dance department guest artist in the spring of 2011 as well as Choreographer for the Theatre Departments Fall musical production of “Little Shop of Horrors”. Saylor has since returned to Kansas City where she is the assistant coach to the Blue Valley Southwest Glitter Girls Dance Team. She continues to choreograph for many competitive dance programs.
