Heather observed her first dance class at age nine, and from that moment she knew that dance was what she wanted to do. Since then she has developed a passion for growing in and sharing the art of dance. She was accepted into the Junior Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive program as well as the Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive program in NYC. She was invited to tour with Dance Olympus as a VIP several times and has received several convention scholarships. At national and regional competitions she regularly places in top overalls, was crowned Miss Masquerade, and received the Steven Boyd Memorial Award for demonstrating emotional connection and passion for dance. She participated in Dance Masters of America competitions for many years continuously receiving first overall scores in Tap, Ballet, Jazz and All-Around High score. The scholarships received from this competition allowed her to attend the Tremaine convention in Kansas City, as well as Adrenaline Dance Convention in St. Louis where she was named to the TAP Crew, and received another scholarship. Heather is currently a student at University of Missouri-Kansas City and is pursuing an Early Childhood Education Major. It was through working with children that first inspired her to become a dance teacher, which she has been doing for four years. She thoroughly enjoys leading a classroom with high energy, interaction with each other and the instructor, and above all instilling a love and appreciation for the art of dance! Heather is thrilled to be the newest member of The Pulse family and looks forward to every moment in store!
